What will you do?

• Spot and cover today’s key sustainability topics: stay attuned to the latest in sustainability, identifying emerging issues and themes to keep illuminem at the forefront with relevant, thought-provoking, and impactful content
• Develop an expert network: identify, engage, and collaborate with the leading voices in sustainability to expand our illuminem Voices section
• Oversee editorial operations: manage the publication process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality across all articles and insights
• Build a dynamic community: foster an environment where experts contribute regularly, establishing illuminem Voices as the go-to resource for sustainability insights
• Contribute across the team: lay a vital role in new initiatives, supporting both editorial and product development to expand our reach and impact

This role is all about elevating the conversation on sustainability, turning today’s news and insights into tomorrow’s must-read content!

What are we looking for?

• Subject matter expertise - deep knowledge of sustainability issues, including circular economy, ESG, energy, and climate change. You’ll need to keep pace with industry developments to ensure our content remains sharp and relevant
• Editing and writing experience - at least 3 years’ experience in editing and writing, with a proven ability to refine complex pieces and provide constructive feedback. You should be comfortable making suggestions that elevate the quality and impact of our content
• Native/Bilingual English proficiency - exceptional command of English to produce and edit high-quality, polished content
• Editorial and community building experience - experience in editorial strategy, marketing, or community engagement. We want someone who can produce content that not only informs but also builds an engaged community of readers
• Strong communication skills - a clear, concise communicator able to tackle complex topics in an accessible way. You’ll work closely with both the team and external contributors to maintain high editorial standards
• Flexible and entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll lead projects, oversee daily operations, and push for long-term impact, addressing challenges with a solutions-focused approach

Recruitment Stages

1. Complete illuminem’s application form: applicants will be invited to fill out our short application form to help us understand each applicant’s skills and experience
2. Short take-home assignment: qualified applicants will receive a short take-home assignment designed to showcase relevant skills and abilities
3. Interviews (2-3 rounds): shortlisted candidates will be invited to a series of interviews to discuss experience, role-specific expertise, and cultural fit
