The Role
We're seeking a Founding Designer to lead all design efforts and establish our design foundation. This is a unique opportunity to be the first design hire and shape both our product experience and visual identity. You'll work directly with the founding team to translate complex financial and climate concepts into intuitive, beautiful user experiences.
As our sole designer initially, you'll wear multiple hats while building toward establishing a broader design function as we grow.

Tangible is a seed stage climate / fintech startup looking to unlock critical capital for hard tech innovators. Our platform offers tools to help these companies all a the way through their financing journey. We are a small and nimble team, passionate about seeing these hardware companies succeed. What You'll Do
Lead product design for our core platform, creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
Establish our visual identity and design system from the ground up
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless implementation
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Create marketing assets and presentation materials that communicate our vision
Build design processes and best practices as the team scales
Champion user-centred design principles across the organisation
What We're Looking For
Essential:
5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing visual design skills
Experience with B2B SaaS products, ideally in fintech or financial services
Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
Strong understanding of UX principles with exceptional visual design execution
Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage environments
Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity
Preferred:
Background in financial technology, payments, or banking products
Interest in climate tech and sustainability
Experience building design systems from scratch
Front-end development skills (HTML/CSS knowledge)
Previous startup or founding team experience

Interviews
Creative workshop 90min to help untangle a real life problem we are trying to solve. Ideally we do this in person in our London office but can be done remotely. ~90 min
